Why We Rebranded: From Numeric to Moxie
Because “Counting Beans” Didn’t Quite Capture Our Vibe
Remember when we were called Numeric? Yeah, neither do we. Turns out, naming your company after a term that screams “accounting firm” wasn’t the best fit for a team that’s anything but conventional. While we started with a focus on Tax & Accounting, our journey over the past four years has led us to fill challenging senior, technical, and critical roles across various industries. Our old name felt more on point during those early days, but it no longer represented who we are or where we’re headed.
Why Moxie?
Because “Gutsy McBraveface” Was Already Taken
We wanted a name that embodies our courage, audacity, spirit, energy, and enterprise. “Moxie” captures our bold, slightly rebellious, and light-hearted nature, as well as our focus on quality, innovation, and always striving for better. It feels like a great fit, which is something we are passionate about, and we are looking forward to showing Moxie off.

We’ve always been different from others in the recruitment game. Our new branding is us owning those differences and saying—regional NZ deserves better.
